Senior National Account Manager, Chicago, IL

Our client is the premier leader in their industry. They are a global services and technology firm with offices around the world. Most of the nation’s largest Blue Chip companies are clients, and they are expanding their presence in the United States. With several Key Clients around the US, they are looking to hire their first US Account Manager.

This role will manage key accounts across North America and build relationships at the senior and executive levels with some of the nation’s most admired companies.

Our client is not in “crisis-mode.” Their clients are happy, use the software, and the software works. Service will always deliberately remain ahead of sales. They have a proactive and cautious approach to building a company without chaos. Because they have too much at stake to sacrifice long term relationships for short term gains.

Their clients spend millions each and every year, year after year. Their customer retention rates are 100%. The software that’s sold is 100K to 1M++ to the life insurance vertical.

Own Executive Level Relationships in the C Suite

You will be challenged to insert yourself into the lives of the client base at the executive level. This will require extensive travel across the entire United States (70%), knowledge of the space, and overall commitment to clients’ success. Long term and short term account management strategies will be implemented, executed, and evaluated.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to present ideas and actionable strategies to current customers. Self-directed behaviors, initiative, and ownership of the role are necessary as this is seen as an executive role.

No micro-management, no internal politics, no short-term do or die mandates. This is a pure client facing, relationship building, problem solving, consultative and advisory role to the C-suite of Blue Chip life insurance companies.


Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the insurance vertical
  • Life insurance expertise preferred
  • 5+ year’s software industry experience
  • Account management experience
  • Understanding of the underwriting processess
  • Heavy travel including some international travel
  • BA/BS degree

Compensation

 

$125K-$175K + bonus, OTE $150K-$250K+++ DOE
