Optimal Sales Search was founded in 2004 by Sonja Hastings, Executive Software Sales Recruiter. In a time where executive recruitment firms come and go, Optimal Sales Search has achieved over a decade of sales recruitment success.

Optimal Sales Search, a boutique executive sales recruiting firm began operations in the summer of 2004 in Oakland, California when Sonja Hastings, the company’s founder and sole recruiter, left Robert Half International to start a sales recruitment agency. Optimal started as a local sales recruitment firm. “Those beginning days were difficult, making the transition from recruiting accountants to sales professionals was monstrous,” said Hastings. “At the same time, with some practice, I got the hang of it and continued to seek clients who understood the value of getting the right salespeople in place.”
